The goal for this project was to turn ½ of the garage into a Man Cave. With the existing space having a 14’ ceiling, we decided to frame the room out to allow for an 8’ ceiling height. The goal was to maintain 6” of storage clearance on top of the room. We installed a 7.2ch in wall surround sound system with (2) 10” in-wall subwoofers. We recessed a 120” projection screen into the ceiling and mounted a 1080P HD projector. The AV rack has a thermostat controlled exhaust fan that helps to keep the heat away from the components and is recessed into the wall. The main AV receiver controls the HDMI switching to the projector and there are (2) component amplifiers that feed power to the in-wall subs.
