One of our customers recently contacted us about a new home he was purchasing and asked if we would be able to upgrade the lighting system in one of the rooms that he planned on converting into a Trophy Room. He is an avid hunter and has many prize trophy’s that he planned on putting into the room, however the existing lighting system was not up to spec. He obtained a rough layout from a friend of his who designs and builds custom trophy rooms, we went over the design and decided to install a combination of recessed can lights and track lighting. Some of the recessed cans are used to illuminate the space while others acted as wall-washers to accent the stone wall within the room. The track heads were ordered with a spot lens, so we could use them to accent the mounts. We choose to use LED’s for all the fixtures, this allowed us to fit more fixtures on each circuit and save money on the operating expense of the lamps. We installed LED dimmers on each of the zones to allow him to achieve the perfect light levels for each of the fixture types. This room turned out amazing and is now a showcase for all the trophy’s contained within. The long lifespan of the LED lamps will provide the owner with many years of maintenance free use.
